Celebrating My First Year at The Manor at York Town: Resident Shares Story of Friendship and Fun

April 6, 2022

Resident of The Manor at York Town, Lonnie, knew that she would call The Manor home after seeing it for the first time. One year later, she loves it more and more. “It just keeps getting better and better,” she shares. “I love living here.”

Lonnie lived in a 55+ community in local Bucks County before she moved to The Manor. “I really didn’t want the stress of owning a home anymore. Especially now that I live alone, that’s just not something I want to worry about,” she says.

Desiring a stress-free lifestyle, Lonnie listened with great interest when her previous neighbor, who already moved to The Manor, enthusiastically shared his terrific experience. “My neighbor kept talking about how happy he was at The Manor and how much he enjoyed living there,” she describes. “I learned more about the community from Director of Sales and Marketing, Courtney. She was wonderful. I took a tour and as soon as I pulled up to the parking lot, it was lovely. It’s like the setting of an upper class hotel. I liked it very much,” Lonnie reflects.

For Lonnie, her apartment’s views and its spacious layout made an even greater impression, as The Manor offers the largest apartment sizes in the area. “My apartment has a beautiful view of the courtyard and the park next to the community. And the size of the apartment is perfect. There’s a very spacious, open living area and kitchen, and the bathroom is large as well. I just really liked the whole set up, and my children liked it as well” she says.

The beautiful scenery and the spacious, luxury apartment, made Lonnie’s decision easy. Upon moving to The Manor, Lonnie used the community’s real estate partners, Brian Quigley and Mindy Haggerty of Keller Williams Real Estate. “Brian and Mindy were so helpful in selling my home. They made it all very easy and I highly recommend them,” she affirms.

A Warm Community and Fun with Friends

Lonnie enjoys the various amenities the community has to offer. With five-star dining, a jam-packed community life calendar with all kinds of special events and activities, and the many attractions of local Bucks County nearby, Lonnie says The Manor is the perfect place to live.

“I like keeping busy. I don’t like to be in my apartment all day. There are many activities here,” Lonnie shares. Every Sunday afternoon, Lonnie and her friend Lillian see a movie in The Manor’s brand new movie theater room. On nice days, Lonnie loves to amble in the nearby Warwick Park, sometimes with friends, and sometimes with her son and daughter-in-law. “It’s great having the park nearby,” she says.

The size of the community appealed to her. “Some of the other retirement communities I looked at were so big and overwhelming. The Manor is just what I was looking for,” she reflects. Lonnie also says that The Manor’s caring team members and friendly neighbors make this community a warm and welcoming home. “Everybody helps everybody else out,” Lonnie shares, remembering the time Amy Ryan, the dining manager at The Manor at York Town, and her neighbor helped her with a car issue.

Enjoying a carefree lifestyle with welcoming friends and caring team members, Lonnie is thrilled with her apartment home at The Manor at York Town. She will continue to enjoy the many activities at The Manor, which includes board games, Sunday movies, and local day trips to the grocery store or the Jersey shore or Peddler’s Village. As the days continue to warm, she looks forward to spending pleasant afternoons and evenings on the beautiful patio with her friends and family, indulging in the best that Bucks County has to offer.
